Promoting systemic thinking, and therapeutic and relationship-based approaches in Social Work

GAPS Environment & Social Justice Statement

As an organisation we are aware of the effect of environmental degradation on communities and the social responsibility we all carry with regard to the importance of promoting climate justice and protecting the environment for future generations.

In considering our carbon footprint GAPS aims to use a transparent process of calculating emissions, reducing those emissions, and offsetting residual emissions and supports organisations and individuals with similar aims.
We also aim to identify and encourage links between social work practice, climate justice and environmental issues.

GAPS contributes to the World Land Trust’s Carbon Balanced programme to offset GAPS carbon emissions. The funds are invested in the protection of threatened tropical forest where the World Land Trust is working through local partners to protect biologically important habitats throughout the world.
